ibi visited the Glacier National Park's west visitor center, Apgar Visitor Center, which includes park maps, books, ranger programs, and displays for your viewing pleasure.

Facts about this location:

1. The visitor center is perfectly positioned at the southern end of Lake McDonald, Glacier National Park's largest lake.
2. The Apgar Nature Center (in a small log cabin built in 1929), offers interactive exhibits, ranger-led talks, and activities for kids, including learning to identify birds by song.
3. It's the primary western hub for the free Going-to-the-Sun Road shuttle system in the Park.
